Dr Vanitha Sundra-Karean is a Senior Lecturer in Law at the School of Law and Justice, University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ). With over 33 years of tertiary teaching experience, she brings a wealth of academic and practical knowledge to the fields of employment law, equity, and constitutional law.
Dr Vanitha holds an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of London, an LL.M. from the University of Malaya, and a PhD from the University of Queensland. Her academic qualifications reflect a strong commitment to legal scholarship, particularly in the areas of Public Law and Private Law and Civil Obligations, where her research spans both broad and specialised topics.
Her current research focuses on Employment Law, Equity, and Constitutional Law, aligning with her teaching responsibilities which include Equity and Trusts, Advanced Equity and Trusts, and Employment Law. Dr Vanitha is also the Program Director for the Master of Laws (LL.M) at UniSQ, where she oversees curriculum design and academic leadership.
