Dr. Mohd Yazid Zul Kepli has a wealth of practical experience in Islamic banking and finance. He obtained his Bachelor degree in law, Masters degree and Shariah diploma from the International Islamic University Malaysia; and PhD from the University of Hong Kong.

Dr. Mohd Yazid is actively involved in teaching, curriculum development and research in Islamic finance and international trade law. He has published numerous articles, commentaries and book reviews in academic journals in addition to authoring several books.

He is currently based in the International Islamic University Malaysia and also works as a specialist Trainer and Consultant in Islamic banking and finance. Prior to that, he worked for several years as an Advocate and Solicitor specialising in Islamic banking. He has developed and taught courses on Islamic banking and finance at various financial institutions including Public Bank Berhad, Standard Chartered Bank and Maybank.
