About the Authors

Ambikai S. Thuraisingam graduated from University of London and went on to complete her Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP). She was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2004. Prior to pursuing a degree in law, Ambikai had completed a professional qualification in Administrative Management (UK) and has been lecturing Management related subjects since 1994. She has completed her Masters in Law (LL.M) at University Kebangsaan Malaysia and her PhD in Business Law. She has authored the book Business Law Made Easy in 2013. She is currently with the Taylor’s University and lectures in subjects such as Criminal Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Banking & Finance Law and Business Law (undergraduate) as well as Medical Ethics, Research Methods, Informed Consent and Confidentiality (postgraduate).

 

Cheryl Nicholson graduated from the University of Thames Valley with an LLB (Hons) and went on to complete her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP). She was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1989. After an active career in litigation, Cheryl left legal practice and embarked into the teaching profession. She has also completed her Masters in Comparative Laws at the International Islamic University.  As a lecturer, she developed and taught a number of law modules both for Business and Law students such as Business Law, Banking Law, Employment Law, Contract Law, Company Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Conflict of Laws and Commercial Law. In 2017, Cheryl retired from full-time teaching. She went on to become the Director/Secretary of the Advocates & Solicitors Disciplinary Board, a position she held for a year before returning to teaching which she currently pursues on a part time basis.
