1.     Introduction

    The word "Autopsy" is derived from the words auto meaning "self" and opsy meaning "to look at." It means "to look at one's self" or sometimes "seeing with one's own eyes." "Post-mortem examination" is another alternative term for a dead body examination.[1] In many countries, forensic medicine represents a medical specialty within the legal system, not within the healthcare system.[2] Cooperation between law and medicine was determined in 3000 B.C. in Egyptian culture. The British coroner system was established at the end of the 12th century.[3] The earliest known forensic dissection was done in Italy, at the University of Bologna in the middle of the 13th century. One was recorded by William of Saliceto (1210-1277).[4] The reasons for performing hospital autopsy examinations are varied, ranging from simple to complex. To the family, the reason may simply be to find out the cause of the death. To the physicians, the reason may be to uncover the progression and interactions of multiple disease processes and the effects of therapy. Ultimately, the autopsy examination provides a clinicopathologic correlation to be used by both the family and the patient's physicians.

    ABSTRACT

    For the past decade, Instagram has been the unicorn of unicorns in the Silicon Valley. Riding the wave of irresistible technological revolution reverberating from the Silicon Valley, Instagram created features that have changed the landscape of social media companies. Foreseeing the digital progressions made by social media giants, Malaysian legislators revamped the Malaysian Copyright Act in 2012 to cater for online service providers such as Instagram. One of the designs in embracing, rather than resisting this change is Part VIB of the Malaysian Copyright Act 1987. It limits the liabilities of online service providers, providing them a safety net to grow and serve without excessive fear of copyright claims that are through no direct fault of their own.

    POTENTIAL REMEDIES FOR VICTIMS

    Sometime in October 2020, we published an article titled ‘Sexual Harassment at the Workplace: 3 Civil Protections for Victims [2020] 1 LNS(A) cii 1’ to explore the various remedies available to employees who have been sexually harassed at the workplace. Since then, we have received queries as to whether there are similar remedies available against nonsexual forms of harassment at the workplace i.e. verbal harassment, supervisory harassment, physical harassment etc.

    Whilst the Employment Act 1955 (Revised 1981) ("EA") provides some statutory protection to victims of sexual harassment at the workplace, there is no equivalent legislation covering non-sexual harassment at the workplace in Malaysia. Instead, the remedies available to such victims will depend on the type and severity of the harassment concerned.
